Southland Academy’s Middle School serves grades 6-8 and provides a smooth transition from the more structured lower school to the less structured upper school. While students continue to build on the basics, our goal is to develop more independent, self-sufficient learners along the way.
With small class sizes and a caring faculty, our middle school prepares each student for the academic demands of upper school. Enrichment courses and extracurricular activities work together to meet the interests and needs of every student.
Field Trips
Each year, middle school students take an exciting field trip that brings learning to life beyond the classroom.
6th Grade: An overnight trip to Fernbank, Tallulah Falls, and Stone Mountain
7th Grade: An overnight trip consisting of a tour of coastal Georgia, including the Okefenokee Swamp and Jekyll Island
